Number Of Incisors In A Cat

MELTDOWN - The Quietus

Meltdown 7.5 / 10
many twists and turns of fate, as can be seen in the biography of this band called Meltdown that started within the extreme metal in 1995 in Mexico. Although during those early years already recorded some demos was not until 2007 when the formation is stabilized and recorded the first LP of the band, and long settled in Madrid. It was precisely in this city Sadman Studios where he recorded this album which is titled "The Quietus", which was then mastered at the renowned Finnvox Finland. And the truth is that after listening to the album you can say the wait was worth it because it is a more than worthy debut.

A dark and elegant artwork surrounds this work could catalog of dark Death Metal with melody, very in line with Swedish sound and some Polish, which draw guitar melodies and riffs that have worked well able to generate a really good atmosphere at times transporting the listener to gloomy places. A good example would be the theme of "Cycle Of Suffering", an instrumental song that appears in the middle of a very successful album. But here too there are things that count, and sing, being a voice registers somewhere between the wildest Thrash and Death, in charge of spitting the listener their message of death, blood and darkness. In fact, all instruments on the album fulfilled its mission, the sound is good and creative quality is guaranteed, without this implying that we will surprise with innovative themes as MELTDOWN style is forged on the basis of influences, so yes, very good influences. Just one of his influences, though not direct, has led them to make a version that closes the album: "Metal Meltdown" by Judas Priest.

only remains to recommend this album to anyone who likes extreme sound brimming with darkness and some melody. A job well done in all respects and that leaves you wanting to see this name again MELTDOWN between new releases soon, since "The Quietus" and came out some years ago. Little more can be said, if you like this music and you get to the album you will not regret.
